During your job search, be sure to set up your voicemail on your cell phone. When
working in recruiting, I never understood why job seekers would apply for positions and
not activate their voicemail. How can employers let you know that they are interested
in talking with you if they can’t leave a message? Email is an option, however; it slows
down the process.
Also, make sure that your voicemail messages do not include offensive language or
music. Keep it simple – include your name or use the generic greeting that confirms
your phone number.
